Parsons Secures $56M Diriyah Phase 2 Infrastructure Deal

US engineering giant Parsons Corp. has been awarded a SR210 million ($56 million) contract by Diriyah Co., a Public Investment Fund–backed developer, to lead infrastructure design and delivery for Phase 2 of the Kingdom’s flagship heritage development.

The five-year agreement covers the management of parks, open spaces, civic buildings, and more than 55 kilometers of streetscape across the mixed-use Diriyah district, located northwest of Riyadh. The project’s second phase aims to expand public areas and mobility infrastructure, reinforcing Diriyah’s vision of a walkable city that will eventually house around 100,000 residents and host up to 50 million visitors annually.

Diriyah Co. CEO Jerry Inzerillo said the partnership with Parsons would accelerate the creation of a human-centered urban environment blending modern amenities with traditional Najdi architecture.

Parsons, active in Saudi Arabia since 2017, has contributed to several Vision 2030 giga-projects, including NEOM’s The Line and Oxagon, Soudah Peaks, and Rua Al Madinah. Pierre Santoni, Parsons’ regional president, emphasized that the firm’s decades-long experience and innovative approach will help deliver Diriyah’s ambitious goals.

With Diriyah Co. awarding contracts worth SR18.75 billion across 15 agreements in the first half of 2025, the program’s rapid growth signals rich collaboration potential for design, construction, and technology partners looking to engage in Saudi Arabia’s giga-project ecosystem.

Prospect Target: Parsons Corp. and Diriyah Co.
